Have 33 small (2mm) bright clear-green LEDs...suggest a mod :)

Make some random time circuits and some push button switches, then wire them all up (has to be somewhat in parallel though, the diode part drops the voltage for each led you use) so that that little grill area in the side panel looks like one of those "1970's Star Trek / Alien/Aliens type computer panel. If you need to change the color you should be able to do so with some sharpie marker...
 
Put them to border the window of the case, powered by the power source and triggered by an external switch. I would glue them around the window on the inside of the case and tape or glue the wires. Shoe Goo would work, and bondo, hehe
 
look at all your computer stuff and find all the leds

my volume dial for my speakers for instance... i am going to replace... then there are the leds in your keyboard... cable modem... scanner... add some along with a window to your mouse... make a usb led lamp... the end goes on and on... get creative
