With DX10 coming out and the next gen of games like Crysis, I imagine it would be a beneficial upgrade for me to trade in my 2 7900GT's for a single GeForce 8800GTX, correct? I am going to wait a bit, just planning my upgrading now, may do cpu or something else now and save for the videocard upgrade later on. What do you guys think?

Yes, a 8800GTX would be an impressive improvement over 7900GT SLI.

You are doing the right thing by planning as I always recommend people upgrade when they need to, not because they just want to. Wait for the game to release, install it...and check out the performance at your preferred gaming resolution. If it is not good, then upgrade. No sense in upgrading in anticipation of something. As time goes by, you will be getting more use out of your SLI investment - and 8800GTX prices can only fall, not rise.

7900GT SLI is hardly headed for obsolescence any time soon. What resolution is your monitor?

I have a 19" widescreen LCD with a native rez of 1440x900, not a high rez but looks very nice. Another reason I am not benefiting from having SLI.

Thanks for the input guys, I am going to put this in my plan.
