That's a really fantastic deal. Only thing to note is that while it can take HD sources, it'll only stream in SD. The Slingbox Pro HD, OTOH, can stream in HD.

Then again, the Slingbox Pro HD also costs WAY more than $90...

yeah and most of us can't stream in high def over WAN 🙂

each its own though. hava is cool. works for me.

I just got my Hava HD from the woot deal yesterday. I set it up off my Direct HR21 DVR, and had it record some stuff to my computer.
All I can say is.. "WOW". THis is what I wanted in my slingbox, but never had. I have both of them hooked up, the original Sling HD, and the Hava. In fact, the hava is connected to the passthrough sling HD bringout box.... I use it for my iphone since hava hasn't had their app approved yet. Plus the free mobile apps really makes it more attractive to me.
Localy, the signal looks much better than the sling, but it is anoying I can't re-size the window to what I want, the options are 1x,2x, or full screen.
But other than that, just having the recording feature... awesome!

I have 4 of these type of devices, sling classic (currently not used), sling HD, hava gold (still in the box) and hava HD platinum

I have the Titanium and it's great. I just got a Platinum for my sister. Should of waited. Although the difference isn't tremendous, Titanium can attach a HardDrive directly to it and has wireless. Streaming quality is great.

Is your PC an XP MCE 2005 or a Vista Premium/Ultimate by any chance? If yes, you can set up the Hava to be it's tuner (even if they are in different rooms). Then you will have access to the recording feature directly through the Media Center interface. The coolest feature ever, I think.

Nah, I use XP 64 bit.. atleast on this computer.. I tried vista ultimate 64 (I was a technet subscriber till last month.. from the $99 deal last year..) Just havn't got into that yet.. I need too. I need to stop coming to this forum and actually use the things I have.
I have no need for MCE, as I already have a DVR with my satelite setup. Now I can just yoink stuff off it at a gooood quality. I'd say it records in DVD quality.. I am tempted to get this Titanium model too... but I really don't need any more of these things.
