(I'm asking for a friend)

How do you hook up the sound for this card? On my tv card, theres an audio output that I hook up to the sound card's audio input but my friend says there's no audio output on the card. TIA

dont have to with this card ..Its just done internally.

go with the 150, I read on here somewhere that haupaugge has publicly stated that it is as good or better than the 250

Ok... I'm considering this... but

my mind is telling me to spend more for a card capable of HDTV -- like the MIT myHD-120 or pchdtv HD-3000 or ATI HDTV Wonder.

The whole HDTV scene confuses me as to what is going to work vs. not-work in the future.
Are these cards (and/or my 'regular' TV) even going to function in the not too-far-off future?

I'm aware of the "broadcast flag" law going into effect 7/1/05, so I'm feeling time-pressured into buying something like the myHD-120 before it becomes outlawed.

Can anyone comment regarding hdtv and future compatabilities with this card (pvr150 or the pvr250).

Is there any other options now? Where is the next best deal for this card? I'd really like to get one too.

pc alchemy has it for $70 as well. This is where I got mine and it was delivered the next day since I live so close.

I just installed this last night, much better than that crap pinnacle pctv. I am trying out the free gb-pvr software and it's working pretty good. Very happy so far.

I was wondering... with this card, can you program to record FM radio at a certain time? I would assume so, but I looked at the Hauppauge website on for this card and it only said you can listen to FM radio, but didn't say anything about recording, or being able to set a timer.

The WinTV Radio software does not record from the radio. Hauppauge does have software to record radio but it cost $9.95 for the recording software. I have not tried the WinTV Scheduler software but I have read were others tried using it to schedule to record radio and they could not get it to work. My old PROView TV card with FM did a better job at recording radio and to me sounded better too.

I looked at $9.95 software (Hauppauge's WinTV Audio Recorder) on web site, and it definitely records FM in real-time, but can FM recording be scheduled? Their web site did not have manual for the software. Thx

There was another thread that posted the price change. Glad to see OP is keepin track!! Thanks! I ordered two today!! It says it will ship in 1-2 weeks🙁. Though, I won't have my new setup until then, so it shouldn't matter. Maybe if there is another price decrease, I just might cancel my order😕?? Either way, these two cards will go into my old setup, which will be my PVR. Not sure if I'll go with Windows MCE2k5 or SageTV or MediaPortal.

This is SD only? No HD?

Edit: just read Comp-U-Plus at resellerratings.com and after the horror stories, No Way.
