Hauppague PVR-150 drivers

I built a new computer to better watch tv at my desk, however my system hangs when I try to install the drivers. I have the card working in a older computer. Both computers are running Win XP with SP1. I inserted the pci card, then booted up the computer and the drivers start to install off of the cd, but freezes right at the end of the install. Hauppague's manuels are no help. I had to reformat after the last time since the optical drives werent being recognized, then hdd refused to be recognized.

Any suggestions?

I have just done this recently and this is what worked for me. The first thing you should do now that it is not working is to run HCWCLEAR. This program cleans all references to the PVR 150 after some bad installations. After that when the computer recognizes the card make sure that you point it to the .inf file that is for the card. It should install from there and then Hauppauge recommends that you run an update on that driver. All the drivers and files are here plus there is a good explanation of the installation process. Hope it works and my board was an NForce chipset.

Thanks for the suggestion Toddly, but I ran into the same problems....the drivers would install then the system would crash and reboot....this is driving me nuts!

What could be the problem???
