This is interesting... I ran a coax cable over to my 2nd win2k box and moved my wintv usb over there and hooked her up... that was around 4:00pm CST ... Its now 12:39AM CST ... its been running the whole time on a win2k box flawlessly . I however haven't been doing anything on the box but changing channels. Like someone said earlier in the thread the problems start happening when wintv doesn't wanna share the processing power and everything gets real biatchy... the solution: do absolutely nothing while you use the tv tuner... is that satisfactory for everyone?

On my KT7A, geforce 2 pro, win98 box it kind of works now. It was locking up on me and I couldn't get it to work after moving around to a few open PCI slots and it still always locked. So the only way it works is go to Hauppage WinTV in your Programs menu, then select DIB DRAW. It works for me but the quality isn't too great. It jitters every now and then also.

I'm still experimenting to get this to work.

Oh it's sharing an IRQ with my SCSI card which it said might cause problems upon installation.

Anybody with a 'real' fix yet?

After extensive testing by a professional couch potato... it seems the only way to make it work 100% of the time is to make sure that it has full access to the processor. basically don't do anything else while your watchin it ... anyone got anything better. We should just rename this thread to Hauppage SUCKS

Yep, the only solution is to let Hauppauge have all of the processor. I know it's lame but I doubt Hauppauge will release a real non-buggy fix for this any time soon.

P.S.
Now my remote won't work after fiddling around with it.. reinstall had no luck :(
