I just purchased a Hauppauge USB tv/fm tuner and when I try to install the drivers it cant find them all on the included cd. It prompts for the windows 98 disk and cant find them there either. It is a few vxd files or something like that. I downloaded the newest drivers from Hauppauge and it still cant find the drivers. I have an athlon 750, abit mobo, 196 mb ram, aureal sq2500, 10x dvd, hercules prophet 2. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a solution to this problem? I previously tried a Hauppage pci tuner and it had a conflict with the sblive card I had installed at the time. Does Hauppauge have anything that works or is it all crap??

I have the USB one and never had problem installing it. You shouldn't have any problem with it. What I did was just installing the CD that came with it. Later I found newer driver and I installed it and worked fine. Tell me what's the problem specifically and I think I should be able to help you. But tell me first the problem ok. Don't worry it shouldn't be a big prob.

the exact problem is while windows is copying files from the hauppauge driver disk, it stops and ask wor the windows 98 cd-rom and then it can not find the ks.sys file. so I press skip file and then I get the "error code 69" "windows was unable to install this device" I have downloaded the latest drivers from Hauppauge and same problem with those. thanks for your input.

thanks for offering to help stingbandel. I finally got it installed! It crashed to a black screen during installation and when I reboot it was installed. weird???? any ways I write down your email in case it stop working again because I have no idea why it installed or crashed. Stupid Hauppauge! This is last time I ever buy anything from them. I bought a PCI card(wintv/fm with remote) and it had a conflict with my soundcard but I could not change either IRQ so I had to go USB.
