Saw the previews at the movies recently, and just read the Wikipedia. Looks like I'll have to check it out.

It was worth watching. Years ago, I read the wiki page for the H&M feud, but I don't remember much of the details except there was a stolen pig, a forbidden hook-up, and it took decades for descendants to settle their differences. I'm not sure how much of this series was fiction.

I watched it all last night. It wasn't bad, especially for a History Channel series. Not as much feuding as one would expect, but still entertaining. Jim Vance was such a pain in the ass.
I thought it was interesting that Devil Anse thought he would be the one to kill him. I'm surprised he took him at his word when he claimed he didn't kill people. I guess the family bond outweighs all with these guys

I don't think spoiler tags are required for events that happened 100 years ago. 😉

Well, its reference to whats in the series. This series doesn't seem to be historically accurate. At least compared to Wikipedia, although the dialog might be straight from a memoir for all I know. Don't want to ruin anything for anyone.

You couldn't pay me to watch a movie with Kevin Costner.

I think he did a damn-good job in this. I wasn't even sure it was him until I looked it up just now on IMDB. I saw his name during the opening credits every time, but I only noticed the "Producer" and music credits.

He actually did a pretty good job. For a change, it didn't...sound...like...he...was...reading...his...lines.

I saw the second half of something... It was good.

Canada so don't know what schedule we're on. Kevin Costner definitely has the most stage presence. Forgot Tom Beringer and Bill Paxton (Hudson?) is in it... didn't really recognize either.

Great series, I think Tom Berenger and Powers Booth were the definite standouts. Costner and Paxton weren't bad either so it is definitely worth the watch.

Mare Winningham still hot

😵D: Hot?

Good series! It's a good example of what happens when you mix uneducated rednecks with a bad temper, guns, and moonshine 🙂
