Is he really that hard to ignore? I read some his posts, "shrug". So what. Its the internet, who the hell cares.

not when half of the threads on the front page of ATOT are started by him.

Yes, I see you contributed to his thread (So I caved in, I shorted my sig) by quoting a long quote. Instead of ignoring him, you just increase you post count and made him happy by giving him/her/it/both/whatever attention.

And yes, he deserves a talk too. But giving him the attention he wants isn't going to help quailty of other posts in ATOT to shine.

No ban, but a vacation to get the point across. People nef, yes, but usually it's one thread and then they're done. Not this retard, he's like the little energizer bunny.

At first i strongly disagreed, but as I dug threw Off Topic I realized how mnay pointless threads he started. However, ban is a little bit hefty..

lets see, i don't crap other's threads, most of my posts are funny and interesting, and i try to help others when i can. thats ban worthy why?

No, you are missing the point. The majority of the forum members think you ARE crap.

last time we had a night of worthless nef threads a few people bit the bullet...
I see no reason why this should be any different.

maybe to you. to the 99% of atot they are not. you have tons of locked posts as it is already. time for a long vacation or total outright ban.

He's a nice enough guy, it seems. I feel bad about criticizing him, much as I would feel laughing at someone in the special olympics. Sure, 95% of the content he posts is worthless (but it seems the going rate in ATOT is ~ 50%). Even when attacked or crticized, he doesn't get aggressive, and ususally just responds with . He's not a mean person, not by any length, and seems to more-or-less just want to get along with everyone.

I don't think a ban is justified. Maybe an encouragement to reduce posting, and reduce his sig, though.

How many of his threads have gotten locked? Every day I visit ATOT in the morning and every time I see a locked thread, 80% of the time it is from The Battosai. Doesn't that say something?

Sorry TB, your posts are funny to you, but I just shrug. Is this worth a vacation or ban? No, it is just silly (as is a non-PM ban post without an original link and for petty stuff).

And if your ABS is doing that, find another mechanic or shop to look at it as it has a defect in the system. That is not the way ABS works, so doing so it a flaw in the system.

When you have a sore thumb, it throbs and gets red as hell. The Battosai, frankly reminds me of my thumb injury. My Grandmother did kiss it for me, however. She also told me that was the only attention I was gonna get for that wound, and to run off and play. ;)

I realize I could possibly get a vacation for this, but when it becomes so obvious, I'm not a person who does well keeping his keyboard quiet. (read, can't keep my mouth shut)

these are some of your pointless threads compuwiz1. if i'm a internet attention whore, it wouldn't be a stretch to say your one. i mean c'mon. look at your threads and look at mine. not much of a difference i would say. stop being a hypocrite ;)

I agree he needs to go. If not for the neffing, serious lack of content or anything intelligent to say, then for his sig alone.
BTW, using compuwiz1 as an example was a poor choice. He has been here way longer than you have under any of your recent names and has contributed way more than you ever could.

what's the deal with mods these days? why are you so scared to just permaban one member? who cares? if this was 5 years ago this guy would have been banned already, no questions asked, and the world would have moved on.

why are you mods so cautious now? why try to be so politically correct? there are thousands of members and will be thousands more, just make a decision and let's move on.

seriously, I will match quasarsky's ban day for day if you want. I lurked here for 4 years without posting and could do it again no problem. if you want to ban me along with him, I have no problem with it.

sorry for trolling here, but this whole situation just seems illogically out of line with general intenet culture. ban first, think later, seriously.

I do not like to post in these such threads, as it is up to the mods as a whole to discuss and take action, nor is it good for the community to have such threads, but in this particular case I am glad it was initiated.

But I agree, The Battosai has proven time and time again that he contributes nothing, cares not about the good of the community, has too much focus on post count, and continues to be ignorant to his reputation and the ambiance of off topic and this COMPUTER forum as a whole. But, lets face it, he is not going to get banned now, BUT he will get banned in the future. He is very similar to JDrake, and has the same destiny unless he changes. Part of it his fault, for not sitting down and thinking about his actions, but partly it is his "innocence" to the amount of time people have been around here and how to act; of which he does not know. There is no need to to cite examples of such threads, as we all knowe the type. I would not give his existance on these forums until the end of the month if he continues.

As a former idiot and stupid immature neffer (Son of a N00b) I know exactly how it feels to act this way, and did not realize my ways until I escalated my behavoir and created a second account to nef and got banned for a month. During this month I took the time to think and reflect on my actions and watch the community as whole and see where and how I need to fit in. I like to think today my posts (while mostly focused in Off Topic, as I still wholy enjoy it there) are helpful and have meaning, and encite conversation, discussion, or at the very least a smile. My post count has become a mere unnoticed number under my name (which is important to me in the reputation sense), the complete antithesis of which it used to mean to myself.

So before things get out of hand and quarsky is ultimately banned I offer my assistance in changing your ways as a member of this great and large community. I would be glad to help you help yourself and the community, as of now I can see your future, and frankly you are getting on my nerves. ;)

So PM me if you accept my offer and I will try and help. :)

I know of at least ONE thread of mine where he posted a VERY insensitive remark.

But then I'm sure we have all been guilty of this at one time or another.

Still, I think he really needs to start thinking about what he posts before he posts.

If not, I really think it's just a matter of time before the problem takes care of itself.
