Been working on a paper for 6 hours. Over ten pages of good stuff. Had 5 more documents open and didnt save the right one ive been working on when I xed out. So the paper is lost as i didnt have it saved anywhere. KCUF what to do
?

Before restarting word you can check the temp files in Windows\Temp or \Documents and Settings\[User]\Local Settings\Temp, if you have already restarted word you are out of luck.

Office tools has an application recovery program...but the chances of getting anything back are slim.

Yeah, that's just stupid. Somewhere along the line this thought must pop into your mind: "I've invested a lot of time into this and I bet it would be bad if it crashed"

Umm, Word is on Macs too?😕

Still doesn't help a user who won't save, so I don't see the connection.

Only a mac user would be stupid enough to try and make a connection when there is none.

Maybe... you can perform a system recovery... although I think it occurs when major changesin your OS occurs and when you logon, there might be a chance... just be sure to save what little you have ON EXTERNAL MEDIA before you try this.

EDIT: I mean restore point

EDIT EDIT: And for the love of god, turn on autosave when you're done.
