America cares not for your pound. It's not even on the friggin' keyboard.

My pound?

Yes, my pound is #, because I never use a pound in monetary terms.

Your pound is "Random squiggle".

How can I make this clear..... I don't use a pound. I don't use pounds for money. I don't use pounds for weight measurement (I know time zones are confusing for you, but it's the 21st century here). I don't have a pound. The only pounding I do is your mum on a Friday night, but I share her with 25+ other guys so it's not really fair to call it my pound. That's communal pounding.

ok we get it you're not american go fuck a goat

£ = British Sterling Pounds
# = American Pound (weight measurement).

Interesting, I though lb was the pound symbol?

That would be what us Americans call an abreviation, not a symbol, #, $, %, and £ are all symbols.

Apparently you don't understand the word symbol. Sorry, I'll try to keep keywords down to one syllable for you.

That was really weak. I'm sorry you piss your pants over what symbol someone uses for a pound.

What the hell do time zones even have to do with anything?

I swear you are just trying to get on one of the troll lists.

Yeah, it's "pound" or "number" sign. We tolerate your british "zed" bullshit, as well as the crap about aluminium, but you can suck it on this one.

I'm not from the UK and that is a freakin hash.

£ <- That is a pound.

If you're calling # a pound you're an idiot.

I didn't say I call it pound. I said that I have to navigate bullsh!t menus all the time, most of which refer to it as the "pound" key and was arguing how calling a pound symbol would be understandable. I was not arguing that it was RIGHT.

Most folks and companies know it as pound, regardless of what you think it should be. When I paid bills over the phone, they told me to hit the pound key and not the hash key.

Actually now that I think about it, I usually call it 'number sign' more often than 'pound sign'.
