Not really - I still listen to pretty much the same music I listened to in high school and middle school (Sheryl Crow, Shakira, and a plethora of other chicks with some rock thrown in for good measure)

As a kid I'd only listen to metal - Metallica & Maiden were killer. While I still enjoy metal, and Iron Maiden is still my favorite band all-time, my tastes have expanded greatly. The only genre which doesn't have a single song I like is country. Some newfound favorites are trance & jazz, and I took a big liking to classic rock a while back as well.

From the point where I actually cared about music

went from punk--->off shoots of punk--->more indie pop/rock/instrumental + hip hop + jazz + classical

I've went through most every music genre... currently stuck on trance music now for some stupid reason... I like a few songs on the radio but most suck.

I'm more about the music than lyrics, if it's got a good beat, it's fine with me 🙂

It changed. In grade school I used to listen to pure rock, metal, etc. I hated all rap, dance, trance, etc. In high school I dunno, it was a blur. But once I was done high school I came back to music again, and now I listen to pretty much everything. My main course now has to be probably techno/trance/house. Quite a change 🙂
