i've lost track of time in the past, but today is a really weird case. i am almost sure my drive to work this morning happened 3 or 4 days ago. there is no way it just happened this morning. they recently finished some construction and although they said it just finished this weekend, i am almost positive that i saw everything i saw "this morning" last week.

i don't think i would have found out except i was telling someone about how nice my drive to work was last friday since the construction finished, and then told me that it finished today.

and it did finish today but my brain is SURE that it happened days ago. i don't know who to trust.

You mean like thinking "today is Thursday" when it's actually Tuesday?

ALL the time.

But if you mean "this is 1998 (or some year other than the current year)" when it's 2016...only once or twice...a month. :p

Uh yeah bro. That's why I post here so often. Everything I say gets date-time stamped. Memory proof.

All the time. I lose track of time, forget what day it is, dream that I've lived an entire day and then wake up thinking it's the *next* day... It makes long road trips easy. It's like I just time warp to my destination. :p

Better check your coke stash. Is it a few grams lighter?

Or is it the Ambien?

You're experience deja vu, which is a common symptom of epilepsy. It's something I've experienced multiple times off and on over the years.

Temporal lobe seizures originate in the temporal lobes of your brain, which process emotions and are important for short-term memory. Some symptoms of a temporal lobe seizure may be related to these functions, including having odd feelings — such as euphoria, deja vu or fear.

Lots of times. Usually on purpose. I make my perception of time pass by faster when I don't want to wait. Nothing like you describe though. The mind's perception of time is quite alterable. You should look into ways of taking back control over that however or you risk ending up coming off as confused.

Deja vu is not the same at all.

I've been living outside of time a bit awhile now.

I really have no regular schedule atm, occasionally I've lost track of what particular day it is waking up in the morning.

When you work the freakish schedule I do then time is just a concept with no known reality or basis.

I woke up thinking today was Wednesday. Distinctly remembering both Monday and Tuesday. I was wrong.
