They need to stop messing around with this WOW bullshat and work on Starcraft 2. Starcraft is their best RTS game to date!

I wonder how many of those are the recent onslaught from the 10 and 14 day trials they recently did?

I played my 14 days, if it weren't for the high monthly fee, I'd likely kept playing. It's like a visual form of heroin.

anywhere from $20-30 but if you pay more than $20, Blizzard will refund the difference...

they're useing the old technique of selling for cheap and getting people hooked and making them pay monthly for their addiction!

I don't see how it is possible to fit 1 million players on ONE server when it's an MMO.

Yup since October 2005, WoW has had over 4.5 million active subscribers.

Official on Blizzard's WoW website

It says 1.5

Nevermind you're right. Wow. 4.5 million subscribers @ 14.95 each per month.

$807,300,000 a year.

where did you learn math? 4.5 x 15 is 67.5 mil
In school likely 4.5*14.95*12=807.3Mil a year.

Yup, I play EVE. Way more fun that ridiculously grinding one does in WoW.

That's not a comeback. EVE has less than half a percent of WoW's subscribers, and their peak concurrency of 19k users is not even remotely comparable to 1 million players.

Increasing the user base by 200 times means crowded sectors will have 40,000 ships in them instead of 200 - do you *really* think that EVE will remain playable like that ?

Edit: math is hard mkay

Heh. I'm STILL patching.

The stupid peer to peer blizzard downloader is working like sh!t for me despite having my firewall configured correctly, so I had to go patch manually to version 1.8.0. Then I had to wait in line for 45 minutes at FilePlanet to get 1.8.4... which is 250 MB... which I am now downloading.

Lol. Wonderful service.

Trying to include those Eve Trial accounts are we? Last I checked, which was not long ago was that Eve Online had only 50,000 players. No more than 19K at one time and that is rare... Most sectors only have one or two players in them and the packed ones may have 200? Nothing special at all really.

Glad you like Eve Online, but this thread doesn't have anything to do with it. Besides, one server for WoW would be incredably stupid even if it was possible, it just means you have to deal with even more morons and when majority rules, that is not a good thing.
