Has Woot officially lost its appeal?

Only thing I've ever bought from Woot is a new Logitech controller for PC that was like $5 or something. Exactly what I needed and cheap as hell. That was a while ago.

Every time I've looked since it's always been "meh"

mostly, haven't seen anything i want in quite a while

edit: i just checked, and the usb hdtv tuner they have up right now doesn't look half bad

I don't even check anymore. All garbage all the time and the Woot-Offs are the garbage they couldn't sell the last time the stuff was listed.

They had a defective Casey Hampton fatheads on there once. His wang was slightly showing in the pose. I bought 6 of them and plastered them all over my house. I pretend to be Tim Couch when I get home from work at night. :wine::brokenheart:

Hoopstick.com has it's ups and downs. Scored a WD 500gb on it's grand opening for $5 bucks.
There has been an iMac, some Dell monitors, that OCZ neuron impulse controller mabob, and this crazy Asus 680i board with 2 36gb raptors that sold out within 2 seconds or something.

Yeah, it's called eBay + Microsoft Live Cashback

Live CB is like 8% now

yup, it's a joke.

funny thing is lots of people on ebay started inflating their buy-it-now prices by 20-30%. yea the CB doesnt come out of their pocket, but they just wanted more profit.

No harm in that; hell, I'd do it if I could get more free money.

I got my 32GB iPod touch 2G for $389 - $30% cashback. I'd say that's a pretty damn good deal.

It was awesome, but you might want to look at the cashback % now. Still good?

His point is that cashback is now at 8%.

A lot of people got in on the 30% deal, some at 35%.

The beauty of free market, MS couldn't support the losses and lowered the cashback.

The only thing I ever bought was a $5 FM transmitter that I was going looking to buy at the time anyway.

But they really have gone down hill.

They used to have stuff you might actually want for cheap when they came out.
