Eat what shit up, a secure border and limited immigration from Islamic terror states?

Fish on, reel him in Trump.

Thread quality and participation seems to have taken a dive. I'm wondering if the absurdity of Trump, the absurdity of anything one can say about him, the terribly embarrassing feat required to defend him hasn't driven away more rational conservatives and left more rational liberals rather bored with the whole election cycle.

Does anybody see this or is it just me? If you think the decline is true, what reasons would you give?

Birds of a feather flock together.

Seems you have skipped right over those policy issues.
That was my entire point. Direct me to one thread where there's been rational discussion on any policy issue. Trump has become the new Hitler of Godwin's Law in any policy conversation around Clinton.

Also, the infinite number of threads bashing Trump and his supporters are certainly lacking in substance, although they have more of a circle jerk than basement dweller dynamic to them.

Its kind of hard to have a rational discussion with irrational people.

This poster certainly attempted:

Lets get ready for some Debating Cage Fights Round 1,2, and 3

Here's another:

Trump Goes Full Retard

Here's a whole thread about it:

https://forums.anandtech.com/thread...e-tax-plans-are-now-in.2488783/#post-38517317

So it's hard to see how you came away with the impression that trump bashers don't discuss policy but then again your reality has never been grounded in the real world.

It's a moonbeam thread. He should be locked up in a padded cell somewhere, so don't take it to heart.

Oh you

I can understand how you would perceive a thread entitled "Trump Goes Full Retard" as a genuine attempt at policy discussion.

now, what does this say about the rest of us, considering Moonbeam is clearly the most lucid poster in P&N?

Not sure, maybe you should join him for a circle jerk? Anyone that considers moonbeam sane, should be considered suspect as well.

The same thing of course. That Moonbeam should be locked up in a padded cell somewhere. To protect him from the P&N rabid rabble frothing at the mouth anytime someone posts something they dislike.

Nah, this ain't going anywhere. After Trump gets zonked, there'll be a new series of four thousand threads in support of presidential recall legislation or constitutional amendments.

Y'all are doomed.

The unholy adoration of Hillary Clinton make it a waste of time to create any anti-Hillary threads. I can understand wanting to vote for Hillary because of ones opinion of Trump (Bernie would have a solid lead at this point)... But the fervor here for Hillary goes beyond that. Hillary has a highly unfavorable rating everywhere except P&N.

You guys scare me and I don't have Internet access in my safe space.

If your logic is to vote for the lesser evil then you may as well go third party.

This election is almost like choosing between Hitler and Stalin. Meanwhile Churchill is over there saying "GOD DAMMIT! WHY DONT YOU LIKE ME!??"

Sure, Churchill drank a retarded sailor and said mean things about women and didnt every little thing correct in his whole life, but the guy is generally loved in the history books and I dont believe any rational person is sorry England had him.

Trump has run his campaign based on almost zero policy so what is there to discuss? The few policies he has put out are clearly, manifestly insane. Banning all Muslims? Making Mexico pay for an ineffective border wall? A magical $10 trillion tax cut? His secret plan to defeat ISIS? What?

Here's a plan: make a thread about any Trump policy you can find and I will address it on the merits. You will find that's very difficult to do.

This forum was a lot more entertaining when it was more about N than P. Hopefully after the elections are over it gets back to N. Right now it's 95% a bunch of retards with extreme views trying to convince other retards with opposite extreme views why they are right/wrong about everything.

Nope, like with the general populace, Trump is a symptom, not a cause. The vitriol (from people of all political leanings) has been here all along.

Not a retard. Not a retard. YOU ARE THE RETARD!

I find no merit in anything Trump is proposing, so there is nothing to discuss. Trump is not credible, viable or acceptable as President. Were he to miraculously win, I would gladly join hands with his opponents.

However, back in the real world, I am happy to debate Clinton's policy positions, particularly foreign policy, government transparency and immigration. She is more acceptable than Trump by a mile, but that really isn't saying much.

Then you should start a thread on one of her policy positions! If your critiques are grounded in evidence and not conspiracy theories or some other such nonsense I would happily debate it with you.

I haven't felt the need to start a thread, especially considering there are currently plenty to choose from, although in all honesty, starting a thread is starting to feel like an exercise in futility and madness, which is what this thread is about.

We have crossed paths on a few of the email related threads, and you've been a reasonable debater. For that I thank you.

So you claim our threads trashing Trump have no substance but admit nothing Trump proposes has any substance? Okay...

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree that Trump's authoritarian proposals aren't worth discussing.

In the context of the election that's just pretense & concern trolling.

Pretty much. No matter who wins at this point, I swear, we're becoming ungovernable.
