Has the anandtech fourm been somewhat slow lately for anyone else too or no?

Wondering if anyone else notice the anandtech fourm being somewhat slow all the time mostly. I mean sometimes it fast one sec then slow the next. Its really strange. May be just me.

Also could you post a traceroute to the anandtech fourms and tell me what kind of connection you have and what isp because i am trying to solve this problem.

Any help is very appreicated

Yes. Seems slow to me quite often. I did notice If I subscribe to something they speed it up for me?

Yup it seems to be getting a lot worse than it used to be, I guess I need to subscribe. Just gotta come up with some money.
 
The forums have a bandwidth cap in place.

If you wish to get faster access it might be a good idea to get a subscription. NOt only do you get faster acess you get full body searches as well as more pm's...
 
It's 2:40am at night. The forums are fast when no one's on 😛 I still think it's a bit too expensive to pay for a forum subscription. I'd switch to another board like HardOCP if AT made me pay. :disgust:

And the extra PM things...I don't see a need for them because as a casual AT forum reader, I haven't gotten any PMs yet hehe. (and I've been registered since Aug 2000) :|
 
I do not want to pay either. I guess i will just have to deal with the slow fourm. Thats ok. I mean maybe sooner or later everyone will sign up and only a few people will be on the one you do not and it will be faster! But i am not counting on that happening. But hey i know bandwidth is not cheap.
 
guess it depends on how much you get out of these forums... I subscribed and the speed difference is night and day. The search options are a hell of alot better, and I cant complain for $2.50/month... I mean, a coke machine will charge U about $0.65, so for less then the price of four drinks throughout the month U can subscribe.
