I just started up my PC and I found this trying to run. It occurred directly after Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 stopped working. I do not have Adobe loading on startup, so I have no idea why it did this.

Also, I checked the file path and it is coming from my Temporary Internet Files.

What is the best course of action for this type of thing?

Edit: I should have mentioned that the Russian translation of the title is "Notebook" and I have not downloaded or installed anything recently except a few Steam games. There is one other person who uses this PC and I was gone all day. When they get back tomorrow, I can guarantee that I will find out what sites they went on as they know how to delete Internet history.

2nd Edit: Since I have to be up for work in five hours, I am going to go ahead and close the program, Shift+Delete the file from the Temporary Internet Files (as well as the entire IE5 folder just to be safe) and then run Spybot and scan my entire PC for viruses over night.

Well, the scan came back with nothing. Spybot found the usual trackers in the cookies, and I deleted the Install[1] from the Temporary Internet Files without any problems. I restarted my PC and watched for Adobe Acrobat to run as well as anything else. All is normal it seems, for now.

Hmm. Never mind. I just checked IE and it is fully updated to IE7. Now I am curious as to how the Content.IE5 folder was cluttered with so much. Also, when I checked the Temporary Internet Folder before I deleted everything out of the Content.IE5 folder, I could not find the IE5 folder in the TI folder. It wasn't hidden, it just wasn't there. Also, the C3JMI9AX folder was not in the Content.IE5 folder. Again, it wasn't hidden, it just wasn't there.

Well that's good, I was completely shocked that someone would be still be running IE5.

As far as your the file, you can submit it to some online virus scanners to see if they find anything.

If you continue to let your friend use your computer make sure they are using a limited access account and lock down as much as you can so that any internet browsing they do will be much safer. The sticky at the top of this forum has a LOT of great information.

Thanks for the information, but I already did that. They only browse MSN news and Pogo. I did check the history and yesterday a JVM test was ran at BigFishGames. I think that the test is what compromised my PC, but I cannot be sure.

"Fully updated" would be to IE8, not IE7. Whatever browser you happen to use in person, go get IE8 so your system's IE is the latest and most secure version.

Bigger picture: Acrobat Reader 7?! Get AdbeRdr910_en_US.exe from <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/ado......r/win/9.x/9.1/enu/"><a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.1/enu/"><a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.1/enu/">ftp://ftp.adobe.com/p............x/9.1/enu/</a></a></a> and install Adobe Reader 9. Adobe Reader 7 is very exploitable, as you evidently just discovered the hard way. It can be exploited via FireFox as well as IE, too.

In either case, run Secunia's free vulnerability checkup. I also suggest that you fully enable your Data Execution Prevention.
