Has someone hijacked my hotmail account?

Starting about a week ago I started getting 'round 20 or so "undeliverable e-mail" notices even though I haven't send an e-mail via hotmail in months. Is my account being used for spam? I changed my hotmail password a few days ago but that didn't seem to help. Suggestions?

here is what one said:
"Hi. This is the qmail-send program at titanium.hkabc.net.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<britta02@hkabc.net>:
LDAP lookup faild using local db
executing 'qmail-local -- alias /var/qmail/alias britta02 - britta02 hkabc.net adkimery@hotmail.com ./Maildir/' under uid=501, gid=501 Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1)"

The body of the e-mail was html code and sounded like spam (one was talking about a porn site, another was talking about a get rich quick scheme).

Put the html into notepad and read what it says. If you are getting a bunch of spam returned to your address saying it can't be delivered, I think there is a good chance that a lot of spam is getting out of your account to its intended recipient. It sounds like your account is hacked and is being used for spam or hotmail really screwed up.

Thanx man. I'd appriciate that. ;)

tweakmm,

I've looked over more of them and they are all some sort of spam. :| I'll e-mail hotmail's customer support and see if there is anything they can do. I only use that account as a "junk/website sign-up" account these days but I don't want to help out a freakin' spammer in any way, shape or form.

Like I said, I changed my password but that didn't seem to stop it at all. Anything else I might be able to do from my end?

Someone is just spoofing your email address in their spams. I made a thread about my similar situation in another forum. Just have to wait for it to end. I just filtered all my emails that had 'undeliverable' or 'returned mail' in the subject to the trash folder.

So they didn't hijack my e-mail account they just hijacked my e-mail address?
