Has Quizno's gone downhill?

I swear that they used to toast the subs hotter or longer. Now, any Quiznos I go to, the meat isn't warm all the way through and often the outside is barely warmed.

I was going to say they've always been bad, but your criteria is different. I don't like their ingredients or condiments. I probably wouldn't notice something being undertoasted because I'd be too busy thinking how awful the lettuce and mustard are.

Quizno's still tastes good up here.

I think the novelty of the relatively new chain has slowed; it's transitioning from a growth company.
Also, the chain was recently sold...good for the guys who started it :)

It's probably the individual store owner's choice. Quizno's franchisees are really struggling due to corporate mismanagement, so they are probably cutting corners to make ends meet.

Check out the TSFA for more info.

On the contrary, I think the one near me turned up the heat in the oven and they're coming out with black edges instead of brown. A little too crispy. YMMV as they're franchises.

I dunno... there's a few (I think the 5th one just opened) here in Anchorage and they are all fantastic except for the one by my house; when everyone else used diced bacon bits, they put uncut strips on the sandwich. That pisses me off because when you take one bite and pull the sandwich away, the bacon pulls out and drapes down your chin.

But I absolutely LOVE the taste... subjectivity FTW!!!
