Here in the web site: Postal 2 web site

Here are some screen shots:

1) screen shot 1
2) screen shot 2
3) screen shot 3 -yes, that's Gary Coleman :)
4) screen shot 4 -that's a gory screen shot!

The game looks pretty campy to me. And I can't believe that they are using the Unreal Engine for this game. It sure doesn't look like it. And you will be able to mod the game as there will be tools to do this. Finally... there will be online via a patch.

I might buy the game.

I don't understand why the need for so much blood and stuff is needed in "hot" games these days. I love playing Raven Shield, Counterstrike, etc... but i usually turn off the blood feature (if capable) because I see no need for it. Sure, it makes it more "real" but how real do you need it?

My vote: NO for Postal 2. :)

Yea.. check out the mod section for Postal 2:

MOD SECTION

1) You have this one guy who wants to make a columbine mod, where you go in and kill teachers and students.

2) You have this other guy that wants to make a mod where your a white superamist and you kill jews and non whites.

3) You have this other dude that stated that he killed a little puppy.

4) A Washington sniper mod could be made says this ohter guy.

Man.... these Postal 2 fans are a little scary :Q

It doesn't look as gory as Soldier of Fortune, but I've also never been really bothered by video game gore. The context of this game is pretty disturbing though, especially with all the guys out there that will love this virtual power trip.

This site contains content not approved for consumption by children, senators, religious leaders and/or other easily damaged psyches, those seeking to enhance or establish political careers and/or possessed of delusions of grandeur. If accidentally exposed, flush eyes with cold water and induce vomiting. If irritation persists, sit quietly and watch PBS. Not for internal use. This site and its related products/propaganda are GUARANTEED not to make you go blind, masturbate (and THEN go blind), become a social liability, induce you to act out atrocities that you would otherwise never indulge in, or burn eternally in hell. Running With Scissors accepts NO responsibility for any and all random acts of stupidity or violence committed by losers who may blame popular entertainment media and/or sugary snack foods for causing their inherent basic lack of control. You're on your own. Thank you and good night.

That about sums it up. :D

*YAWN* Gee, another mediocre FPS using violence rather than good gameplay as a selling point. Been there, done it, shot the t-shirt.

No, I won't be buying it and not because of some silly moral objection.

I think I'll be getting a copy of this game ... not for anything else but for THOSE days when I feel like strangling every idiot who walks in my office and wails for an hour for which, being international student on campus et al, I get $5.15 - perfect game to calm my nerves :D

I remember when Postal first came out, I had my old compaq 233 machine and I think it came with it or it was given to me. I loved it at first play, but I can see how a game like this in a troubled teenaged mind can probably do more harm than good. If the advising of the content is followed, I don't see a problem with this game.

I'm no longer into gory video games anyways, i would maybe play them, but they aren't interesting anymore since they really exaggerate.

danny~!

No, just as i didn't play Postal 1 or GTA. Gore doesn't bother me, i've seen worst in RL. It's the principle. Hey, why not play games where the sole purpose is to rape women and see how many children you can molest.

Just played through the demo. It was alright. I got to dump gas on people and light them on fire, use an M16 against rabid arabs doing that wierd chant, kill cats and dogs with shovels etc etc. I think the media will be all over this one! lmao it's all things politically incorrect.

I just played the demo. It's pretty funny but loses it's appeal after 10 minutes. No wonder the demo is timed at 7 minutes.

>I don't understand why the need for so much blood

The blood aint that bad in this one, there are other worst things in this game like sticking cats at the end of your gun barrels, setting people on fire and unzipping your pants and peeing on people.

I just find it funny. the game engine is nothing to write home about though and like smilin said it's just "another mediocre FPS using violence rather than good gameplay"

I also vote no for Postal 2. I tried the demo at Dark4ng3l's house and it was fun for the 5 first minutes... After that it got simply boring, I can't picture myself playing that game... I don't like games where your only goal is to shoot everything while doing some crappy objectives.

the demo was stupid... the gore was forced and unrealistic and the gameplay was nonexistant. i will not be buying that garbage.

I've played through the whole game, and yes, it gets boring after 15 mins people.

That said, it does have some moments that I thought were hilarious... but the game isn't worth more than $20 IMO.

I like how you get insulted if you try to cheat :D

I won't be buying this piece of crap. It's like BMX XXX, trying to sell a game on it's controversial nature. I could see some people enjoying it if the things it did were actually "implemented well" ...but I just don't find one cent of value in this. Not in design, not in implementation...nowhere.

I also read an interview with one of the creators and his basic jist was an "f you this is who I am" mentality ...not the kind of people I want to be supporting. Aside from the fact that I really do think it goes too far and, as evidenced by the mods it's inspiring, is attracting a lot of f***ed up people.

All just IMHO, I think Carmageddon and the GTA games are great.
