I wouldn't expect YOU to like them.
😛

But, that said, give those songs I specifically mentioned a listen. Especially their latest live versions. They've improved their musicianship a lot, and going back to their older material they dress up the sound a lot. They brought their A-game to the Neverender shows, so if you listen to those versions and don't like... I understand disagreement.

But, is it musicianship you hate or just their sound and style in general? Like I said, they've improved over the years, though the latest album lost most of the progressive sound, likely due to the drummer, not saying their previous drummer was of any quality. Chris Pennie helps liven up all their songs, since all of the studio versions are pre-Pennie.
Well their music is unoriginal and that guys vocals or to be more precise, his voice, is god damned awful. The band reminds me of a fat and sour version of Rush minus the creativity and talent.

Anybody remember Gwen Stefani when she was with No Doubt. Like them or not at least she and the band had an original sound. Now she's sold out and the songs she puts out are complete crap. Hell I can understand the need to become commercially successful but she could have gone the route of Phil Collins and become top forty while staying original (even when covering someone else's songs)

What the Record Companies have done is taken a Mariah Carey template and plugged other artists into it and churned out shit after shit and more shit.

Nowadays I find it extremely hard for a band to surprise me... Even if it does sound good, its just nothing special... I remember when I first started to listen to metal, nearly every band blew me away lol

Specially considering how widespread music is nowadays, everythings been done already, its amazing that people still manage to come up with great music

Anyway forget trying to find good music in the mainstream... You can take the mainstream stuff out of any generation and it will always suck
