The last sentence of the original blog says it all:

It's actually a double standard. If MS had come out and said it was Yahoo's fault, many people would see it as MS trying to blame Yahoo for the problem. Instead, now people are blaming MS for not saying this earlier. And, you know I'm right :)

I was just pointing out to Stu what he had complained about earlier. Many people thought it was a issue on their end, and some still suspected it was even after they came out and said it wasn't.

Well there we go, I hadn't seen that yet. I don't use Yahoo Mail, but as another email issue, gmail push doesn't download images reliably.

I personally had never noticed the data leakage issue on my phone, but I have heard that it is a big issue.

Only problem I've run into with that is if the whole email hasn't been downloaded. Remember when you couldn't even DL images on the iPhone? Ugh ...
