Well, I don?t agree that it is stealing.

Btw, the paint example was just that, an example. You can substitute paint if you want to, the example will still be the same. ;)

<< I wasnt getting anal with you. If you read my question you would see that I was asking why you felt the way you felt. Would you agree that this is copyright infringement and still illegal and immoral or are you just trying to be a jackass? >>

Well, would relentless be a better word? You are calling me a thief when you say it is stealing!

It's not stealing cuz! If you want to call it a breach of contract, breach of EULA that?s fine, illegal (I would definitely questions that)! Just making sure you understand stealing as defined (stealing - taking anything from the care, custody, or control of a person, in his presence, by force or by threat of force, including attempts)! There is no copyright infringement taking place, the original contents have not been derived in any fashion what so ever. Not sure where you are getting that idea from?

PS: Already read it.

Hey look, I don?t want to ague. Its just there is a distinct disparity, between stealing the breaking EULA etc...

Fine. People that do that are copyright infringers. If you dont think piracy is illegal thats fine.

Here's a little tip for people who complain about the price of XP. If you want to be legal just go on over to newegg.com and order the 3 pack of WinXP Home. Yes, you need to get hardware at the same time, but newegg says anything that isn't software will do. And you only need 1 piece, not 3. (Yes, I did ask first.) My piece of hardware was a refurb heatsink that came with free shipping. The total was about $275 with shipping which is less than the cost of 1 retail copy of XP Pro at a place like Best Buy.

I just wanted to have legal copies for 2 computers I was selling at the time. I kept the 3rd copy for my main home machine. I will be running and learning about linux on other machines just to keep my options more open in the future.

You Windows users fricking crack me up....

The thought of actually having to PAY FOR YOUR SOFTWARE just totally freaks you out... its funny as hell...

<< creation of WPA cracks! [/b]

Actually, as far as I know... there has YET to be an actual crack of the WPA process... people just used the Corporate Version of XP instead...

Guess what... next version of Windows... Corp Version will have WPA as well..no copying of corp version next time... so maybe you sould start learning something a little less expensive...

Its simple.. If you can't afford the champaine..... learn to like the taste of BUD...don't rip off your local 7/11 just for your champaine habit.

For those of you who think you shouldnt have to pay anything for software; is it too strange a concept for you to understand that Intelectual Property can actually be worth something? if so I hope (for your sake) you never try and make anything in your life and expect to get paid for it.
Open Source projects are great, and do some awesome things. If a company wants to release a new product and charge money for it than that is their right, if you dont want to pay for it than dont freak out, go the Open Source route.

Also like DaHitman said in his first post, if you dont want to pay for someone's Intelectual Property

<< Then don't use it you theif... Don't steal your OS's, try an OS you can afford.. >>
