Old news, but they have some responsibility for telling the Italians that everything is okay. If they didn't say anything,it would have been cool.

Get the full story. They promised the towns folk they could warn when an earthquake was about to happen.

Long story short, they couldn't.

The towns people stopped taking the precausions they used to because they were assured they'd know when a quake would happen.

People died that didnt need to die.
