Anyone else try to memorize the Battle of wits?

i had it once, and can usually speak the dialogue along with the movie while its playing, but no more re-enactments 😱. Sadly, i also used to have 90% of Monty Python and the Holy Grail and almost half of The Life of Brian memorized. Thankfully those days are long in the past. the chicks just don't dig that stuff 😉

Is it common in your area to assumed that everyone has seen this movie? I knew it was true at my university. People suggested it once in a while but the response was that everyone had already seen it.

Then I'm talking to a friend of mine over IM and she has never even seen the movie. Not even heard about it.

You need to show your female friend the movie.

Inconceivable! 😀
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. 😀

Is it not unbelievable that Gatsby female friend has not seen Princess Bride? I certainly think so 🙂 But also

Inconceivable! is a line from the movie 🙂.

Fezzik: We face each other as God intended. Sportsmanlike. No tricks, no weapons, skill against skill alone.
Man in Black: You mean, you'll put down your rock and I'll put down my sword, and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?
Fezzik: [brandishing rock] I could kill you now.
Man in Black: I think the odds are slightly in your favor at hand fighting.
Fezzik: It's not my fault being the biggest and the strongest. I don't even exercise.

i must be looking in all the wrong places...

hehe... Storm, I got her a real one for her foot cramps (a real massager, that is) and so now she shouldn't be looking through my stuff any more.

Zugswang... most of us are band nerds, science geeks (even if it is in a 'soft' science kind of way) and generally are more androgynous than the typical female. It doesn't mean we are any less of a woman than the really girly girls... just that we are more in touch and comfortable with the testosterone in us. And that can be a GOOD thing! 😀
