Has ayone here read: The World According to Garp?

My girlfriend gave it to me to read because she thought I'd like it...I read the thing in 3 sittings...and honestly...I can't even think of a way to decribe it. I disliked it at some times, and loved it at others. But in the end....I don't think I'll ever forget this one :Q

We listened to the book on tape during a summer trip a few years ago. While it wasn't what we expected, it was very well written, and kept us interested throughout.

I have read the book a couple times along with a bunch of other Irving stuff. As for the movie I hated it.
