Absolutely not - the opposite in fact. Weird as it sounds, my two best friends are from AT, I moved states because of people I met on here, I know others who are moving states, it's prompted me to get rid of tv completely (so I spend no more time on here than most people do lounging around the tv...) and it's fodder for conversations with good friends as well.

Actually, I think ATOT has helped my real life. Well, as far as grades go. Before I started reading ATOT, I played a lot of games. After ATOT, my grades went up a lot. I guess it's just the fact that I can pop on ATOT, read a thread here and there to break up doing work a lot easier than I can sit and play videogames.

I could go without it.. but I choose to pass the time here.. I'm not addicted to the point it's wrecking my life. I just have a lot of spare time esp. at work sometimes, so I post.
I really only post @ home when i am either really bored, or working on something and using spare time to post.

No. And I was a member before it says under my icon... late 90's for me. 98 or 99, I think. Can't remember. I'm usually too busy in real life to pay much attention to these things.

Quite the contrary, the Internet in general has enhanced my life. I have friends from all over the world, and I have been able to work internationally. ATOT helped me to get a bit of a tougher skin... I graduated from the Red Dawn School of Internet Communications, hehe.

Naw, I don't post that much on here anymore. I got tired of the double standards displayed by the mods, and all the censorship/banning of silly words/banning for anything. I found a new "home", this is just "a place to crash" now.

Agreed, I've met a large number of people and made some interesting contacts, and I've learned to debate and solicit/accept criticism much more readily.
