there is a kid in there, who is probably 17-18 (graduating HS). He talks about how much it hurts being fat, and then he goes and drives to mcdonalds. He then tells everyone how food is an addiciton to him, and when he gets cravings, he just has to go get food.

Hi mom tells him to stop, and he gets angry with her, telling her that she doesn't understand that its an addiction.

In this show, he is trying to get gastric by-pass (sp?) surgery, but I think he has to get a recommendation, and then accepted.

one scene is when he goes to his doctor for a recommendation, and the doctor list all the things that are wrong with him due to his weight (going to die young, diabetes, joint problems, etc.) , he smiles and is thrilled that he has all those problems, because it means that he is going to get the recommendation. He tells his mom that this is his tool to geting skinnier, and is currently just going ahead and eating a lot before he gets accepted for the surgery, because "once the surgery is over, he wont eat like he does now".

The other people in that particular episode, i didn't have much of a problem with, it is clearly a struggle for them, but this 17/18 yr old kid just pissed me off. He looks so lazy, he can walk, swim, and maybe run, but he chooses not to. The other person getting gastric bypass currently cannot run, and is difficult for her to walk.

I don't know, just wondering if anyone saw it, and what they thought of that kid, i was a bit disgusted.
