hi,
Has anyone with a Soyo Dragon Plus mobo flashed to the latest bios (11/15/01 - 2ba1)...and experienced a loss in performance especially regarding memory ?
Eg. using memtach, ctcm, maybe Sisoft Sandra....measuring the memory performance and experienced the new bios gives a huge drop in performance ?
Currently this is only a theory since the new bios fixed some issues with AMD XP cpus, running at 133 FSB and 133 DDR...probably some latency added which makes me *believe* the current bios may be slower than the older (2aa1) one...the *older* (unstable) bios is also the one THG tested the board with.
I'd like to have as much input on that as possible..either to verify that there is nothing to this assumption.....sources at least told me the latest bios should even boost performane in contradication to what some people experience. (loss of performance). Need more data to verify those claims...
