you might try calling tirerack and asking them.

They pushed me towards the Yokohama Avid Touring (which I was stongly considering anyway)

True for the most part, but Kumhos are very well known for being a superb tire for the money, it's almost unrealistic how cheap they are (Ecstas), yet perform so well.

Kumho makes pretty good tires. I say go with it.
I had an old car and the only manufacturer that supplied my size of tire were Michelin (It was a french car) but I found out that Hankook did make my size and they were great.

Kumho, why don't tire manufactures research what thier names can mean in our society before they release them in our market ?

that thought has crossed my mind on more than one occasion. Then I found out it's pronounced "Koom-Ho" :D

I know how it's supposed to be properly pronounced, but after coming into contact with thousands of customers in my repair shop over many years, I have concluded that the average "joe" are complete and utter morons ;)

Hey,

I don't know much about the company, but the tires seem good.. do a google on them and check things out. Looks like they perform well, civic owners seem to like them!

I use Sumitomo (owned by dunlop) HTR Z II and got them for about half the price of what my stock tires were going for ($86 each instead of $160 something for stock Bridgestone Potenzas), and i am happier then heck with them. (maybe a little noiser, but they look sweet)

Cheaper usually means much less tread life, depending on your driving style.

Good luck!
AJ.

I just got those Kumho tires, and I'm very satisfied.
They are very good not only dry pavement, but also wet road (even on the snow).
Thanks for your help.
