has anyone used best buy price match policy?

i saw an item i want to price match and live in southern california. does this pricematch policy work?

circuit city had mario kart double dash for 37 bucks. BB had it for 50 or 60. pricematching worked at BB.

Best Buy will only pricematch with a local competitor and they usually give you a hard time if you are only there to buy the item you want to pricematch. Sometimes they will even call the other store to see if the item is in stock.

sorry i saw a frys ad for an external hard 300 gig 139 and best buy has it for 229.00 so i want to price match it. because i prefer buying everything with amex since they have a great warranty policy. it like i get a free extended warranty when i buy stuff with it.

If you have a Fry's Electronics locally with the $139 price and if they have the item in stock and if your BB has Fry's on their list of local competitors, then you should be able to PM. I don't believe BB PMs online to online or instore to online.

That's been my experience, too. They have occasionally called the competitor to see if the item is in stock, but not so much in recent years.
