Has anyone used a liquidwick pool cue?

I was wonder what the quality was like....the price is very cheap, but I don't really want to spend the money if it's crap. I can't find it in any stores either...

I have an excellent Dufferin two-piece cue that's valued at something like $90 and it serves me damn well.

thats true as well.

any cue, in the hands of a good player will be just fine.

everyone has an opinion and likes and dislikes. im going to say that personally i probably would not like the joint on that cue, also, asthetically its a 0/10.

I have no idea who the best pool player in the world is, but I know who the best snooker players are, and they use cues made by hand out of joined hardwoods. They take months to make and cost tens of thousands.

You should go to a proper billards shop and get something low-end from a good maker.

my dream cue is the Balabushka LTD-3, but I just can't justify spending that much $$$$ on a pool cue

Current Balabushkas are fine and all but you could do far better for the money. The cues just have his name slapped on them and are "replicas" of his original design with none of the custom feel and craftsmanship of his original work.

Find me an original Balabushka for that price and I'll do...stuff...for you :Q

ya, real Balabushka's go for ten's of thousands, I don't think I'll be shooting with one of those any time soon.

I'm partial to Meucci cues as I like the feel and balance among things. They cost a bit (OK, a lot) more than the OP's Liquid Wick (I've never heard of them, but you tend to get what you pay for.) You really don't know much about the cue! (Anatomy of a pool cue.) I personally dislike fiberglass wraps and sticks; I buy a wood shaft and have the shop lathe it for me.

Try some starter cues at a real billiards shop (not Wal-mart or the like.) Or maybe a Sneaky Pete would fatten your wallet (and get your fingers broken.)

I would never buy my stick over the internet - got to try it in person.

Haven't tried a Liquidwick. I have a couple Cuetecs, very solid, but it's hard getting any feel out of them. I like my Joss better, more feedback.

Hello,

I saw this post and thought I would answer. Yes. I own the Liquidwick Break cue and I like it. It is very well made and heavy (24 ounce) but legal in all forums.

In the center is some kind of weight, I do not know what, that will shift as you power it into the cue ball. It might be sand or lead pellets or something else, I do not know, but you can feel it and it makes a sound. I guess that is where the name Liquid comes from.

It takes a little time to get the hang of it, but once you do it is fantastic

I do not work for or receive any compensation by anyone for this review. I just like the game and this break cue that is all.
