Has anyone used a life coach?

I'd like to know if anyone here has ever used a life coach before? They seem to be very popular now.

I like checking out the You Tube channel Actualized.org

I've gotten into personal development lately, so I like watching at least one video a week. I find value in his videos and find them enjoyable.

I know he does life coaching, so I was curious to see what he's charging.

It's frekin expensive! 1 month of coaching is $960! That's about $240 a call

I've gone thru counseling in the past by trained professionals and the most I only paid was $90.

So, what do you guys think? Are these people scam artist or do you think they are worth the money?

i think if you spend $960 /m on prostitutes you will get a much stronger boost to your morale and discipline than if you spend the same on a life coach.

the same applies for cocaine.

Cocaine(r), It's One Hell Of A Drug!(r)

Life coach? Seriously? That has to be the most retarded thing in the entire universe.

What Is Life Coaching?

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler."

--Henry David Thoreau

Life Coaching is a profession that is profoundly different from consulting, mentoring, advice, therapy, or counseling. The coaching process addresses specific personal projects, business successes, general conditions and transitions in the client's personal life, relationships or profession by examining what is going on right now, discovering what your obstacles or challenges might be, and choosing a course of action to make your life be what you want it to be.

What a load of poop, and for the low low price of $960.00 a month. I guess there are losers that are just that desperate.

Life coach... All I really need is some jack and a life cheerleader. Green eyed and blonde too!.

ATOT is my life coach

actually i guess that explains a lot

I actually got into a lot of stuff through ATOT. Like, HT stuff. My first home theater post was a laughing stock, but I was proud of it...it was like a 19" tube TV with a DVD player & I think some Logitech speakers or something. But it got me started and as I got older, learned more, and got a better budget, I went through the upgrade path. Right now I have a mini home theater with 5.1 & a 108" projected screen and it's super awesome, we use it daily!

Same thing with like H&F stuff. I ate like crap & never did any kind of fitness-related stuff at all, but people like SociallyChallenged had a great fat loss thread, Yoyo has the awesome speaker thread, etc., and my social group IRL wasn't really into that stuff at all, so it made it nice to have a place to jump straight into & chat about stuff (without getting ripped for being a newbie like you do on Reddit & other sites).

Boy I've spent way too much time here

You know, it actually sounds kind of cool to me - like a general contractor for all of the productive areas of your life. Celebrities have them - just look at guys like Christian Bale & Ryan Reynolds who have to get super-ripped for movie roles...they have personal trainers, personal chefs, etc. so that they can focus on other stuff. I know a lot of people who absolutely will NOT exercise at home, but if it's at a gym with a trainer they're paying, they are completely motivated & get results.
