Using a H70, on a sandy rig but replacing the fans with the noctua NH-D14.

Heard that the H70 is very loud even with the adaptors in place, wondering if the noctua will bring down the noise, concidering this mod as space has become an issue with the memory

thanks :)

Yes, the Noctua NH-D14 fans will considerably bring down the noise of the H70. Even if you don't use the ULNA adapters. Noctua fans are super quiet & efficient!

Noctuna makes one of the worst fans for its class.

The price to performance ratio is wacked beyond wacked.

If you want a good static fan thats quiet, you get a scythe Gentle Typhoon.

ty fellas for the quick response!!!

the program is this...

Fans are made in 2 main functions.

They can cross field, however they excel more at what they are made for.

1. Open air fan... basically it means a fan which has nothing attached to it.
As it says, its open air. Pulls air from open air, and pushes it via open air.

2. Static Fan... these usualy are a bit more louder, but they do as they say. Apply a lot of static. Static is required when your pushing air though something like a radiator or an air sink.

Noctuna's arent bad, but as i said, there price to performance ratio is terrible. There almost on the same class as slientX in my book, which is BAD.

This is the gentle typhoon:

Most definitely gets two thumbs up for any radiator.
