Has anyone tried this?

At stores they have small window air conditioners that get very cold. If you set up a duct leading from the airconditioner to the intake of your computer, would that significantly change the temperatures.

What could also be done is a duct leading from your house air conditioner port, leading into your case.

I can see that condensation might pose a problem, but would the very cold air temperatures inside the case do much?

I don't think it would make a big difference if you used peltiers and water cooling, but it would be a cool to try it out.

yea, the only problem is that you can't really move your computer anymore. worth a shot, though. i would keep you're computer box's airflow rate under the airflow rate of the a/c, so the cold a/c has a chance to cool the stuff (and doesn't have to catch up to a higher flow rate). otherwise, you're blowing cold air in and cold air out. you might even just want to close off your box, and just let the computer chill.

Last night it hit 40°, room temp was around 52° and computer temp was around 72°. CPU around 78°. Unless the reading is wrong.. Temperature is lower overall but oc-ed speed didn't improve. My server room is 61-65° constant from AC, no condensation but we don't use a peltier

Since most of the hardware in the system can handle room temp... what I would do is make a air duct the goes from the A/C unit to the Heatsink on the CPU, by condensing the air flow to one area it will substantially cool your processor! You will need to make a custom case design but hey if you get it to work it would be cool... no pun intended!
