OHH!!! Tetley = ownage!!! I tried that in a British pub nearby. I must say it is better than Guiness and Murphy Irish Stout (which I chose over Guiness anyway)
churchills in san marcos has it on tap along with a bevy of other wonderful beers you couldnt find at a normal bar/pub down here. the drink list is truly an amazing one considering its sd, and next time i go i will try and get a copy of it or take a picture.

might as well make it a point to also go to penny lane's and the san marcos brewery (handpumped old english is a good choice, they also have a handpumped oatmeal stout). dont worry though... churchills, penny lane and san marcos brewery are all within a mile of each other. 😎

Can someone tell me the difference between a beer and a lager?

technically, its the yeast and the way the beer is fermented. Lagering is a process where the beer is put in cold storage for a period between 3 and 6 months. Lager yeasts are also very different than those used in ales and produce their own flavor profiles, flocculate on the bottom of the fermentation vessel, and generally require cooler temperatures for optimal activity.

I guess I can't be wrong to say,
"So many pubs, so little time."
