my Powershot s50 died (doesn't turn on anymore). I didn't drop it or abuse it in any way and i sent it back in for repairs.

if you actually shipped your Canon digital camera for repair, how long did it take for them to get it back to you??

i was actually kinda disappointed that the camera just went dead on me. oh well, there are bad batches from a factory anyway. did they send you a new one or did they repair it?

i'm kinda scared of the 1 year warranty now. are there extended warranties i can buy after i've owned my camera for 6 months?

well in my case i had physical damages to certain part of the camera that they just replaced...like the zoom button on my s330... and on the s30 i dented the rear panel/casing and kinda cracked the LCD..they replaced the housing and LCD and it came out spanking new. im really grateful.

if you bought the camera with the right credit card maybe you already have some sort of warranty extension through there? i wouldnt worry about the camera just dying on me, though..these things are great
