I read an article about it in which Aronofsky told Rourke how it's gonna be while they're filming HIS movie. He didn't take it too well at first, but really learned to respect him. I really want to see how it turns out.

I heard it is excellent. The director of that movie was on Howard Stern last week and he said Nicholas Cage was originally going to play the lead but that he really wanted Mickey Rourke for the role. It was a very interesting interview and I'd like to see this movie.

I love Aronofsky, so I will definitely be seeing this. It doesn't come out here until January 9th, so I'll have to wait until then.

its pretty damn good. i cant picture anyone else but rourke in the role. all the supporting characters are spot on also, i.e: tomei, rachel wood. not my favorite movie of the year, but its still solid and should at least get rourke nominated for a best actor oscar.

I thought Rourke was great in this movie. It was a slightly depressing flick.
