The cover it comes in is actually well made, but there are some incomplete quotes inside, kind of like on TV when you see previews for movie you know is really bad and all they can come up with are three quotes from some reviewer you've never heard of from a newspaper with a circulation of 5.

I think the effect was that I was supposedly to see the cover, pee myself, then pop the DVD in, then shit my pants.

Strangely I didn't experience phase 1, and I'm very certain phase 2 won't have the desired effect.

Have you ever watched a Michael Moore movie?

IIRC the cover actually looks like a scene out of 300/Kingdom of Heaven with the muslim hordes coming with their swords and stuff.

Hard to take it seriously.

What's your point? Michael Moore says his movies are op-ed pieces. Something tells me that this DVD won't say that.

MM says that druing his movie? Every MM movie (2) I've ever seen was presented as the unvarnished truth, a documentary.

Anyhow, the point was take it with a grain of salt. I don't believe it is accurate/unbiased, but it might make some good points.

Michael Moore has come out numerous times in public and before media outlets saying that his movies are op-ed pieces. As far as his movies go, he's the one narrating them. What else would you think besides that it was what he thought? His movies aren't factually inaccurate (minus a thing here and there), his interpretations of those facts are certainly open to debate though.

Either way, there is a large difference between a movie released by a very public person by major production studios with a lot to gain or lose, and largely anonymous DVD junk mail during a campaign season. One you take with a grain of salt, and one you pitch into the trash can instead of wasting your time with it.

Here we are talking about radical Islam, and you try and lump in all of Islam to discredit it. Are you unable to distunguish between the two?

Are you saying that if this video shows Wahabbi Islamists spewing thier hate-filled messages, calling for jihad/violence against the West, it would somehow be inaccurate or propaganda?

I received one last week. Haven't watched it. Based on the sleeve it looks quite biased.

That's what's so ironic, the people who hate Michael Moore watch Fox News almost exclusively. Listening to one fucked up biased source is bad, but listening to another is good? Okay...

Has anyone actually watched it to see if they adequately differentiate between "radical Islam" and Islam as a whole?

There is a huge difference ya know... it would be nice to know if they made an effort to do so, or if they just lumped it all together like idiots.

I didnt receive a copy...

Frequently videos such as these do not make that distinction themselves. What I am saying is that I don't trust DVD junk mail to provide rational and reasonable discourse about any part of Islam, radical or not.

I don't need to do anything to discredit this video. If you're picking up unsolicited movies that arrive in the mail during campaign season, popping them into your DVD player, and believing what they tell you... you have enough problems already.

I binned it the second I saw it. Complete horse shit propaganda.

All the so-called "experts" in it give canned testimony trumping up the threat of terrorism (can you say "orange alert!") and tie groups to al-Qaeda that have nothing to do with them (like the PLO, Chechen Rebels, etc.).

i havent got one in the mail yet alittle over 1 yr ago, the local newspaper advertised a preview of this particular movie at a local church. of coarse i went to see what kind of propaganda they were spewing. there were several hundered people with police and even bombsniffing dogs!!!! there were several prominat church officals there. i wish i could remember who, along with some rabbis for a q and a after the movie. i wrote a question about if zionism was helping spread islamic extremism but they didnt ask it to the panel.
if this is the same movie, it went into the whole nazi connection along with the mufti thing. its kinda sad that the israeli mossad also has nazi connections through reinhard gehlen helping train the mossad.
