Has anyone purchased an Ouya?

I want to solely for emulation. I don't want to build a computer just for that or play it on my existing computer. I want to play old school games on my couch and this is cheap for it. I'm still gonna wait though as the controller is reportedly not good.

Can you not hook a PS3 controller up to it? I figured since the controller was bluetooth and it was 'open source' surely it wouldn't take long for someone to make the PS3 controller work on it.

You can, from the review I read said that PS3 and Xbox controller support is not supported with every game/app.

No, the games appear to be similar to any game you can play on a tablet or phone. I already have those devices and don't want to buy their device that is more limited than my phone / tablet.

It's not much use to me since I don't care about emulators, and:

I have a Kindle Fire for games like this, plus a PS2, PS3, 360, a gaming PC, and a huge backlog of unplayed games. Plus the Summer Steam Sale is in progress.

I find the Ouya to be a complete waste and I really don't see it catching on past the initial wave of hyped supporters. It needs unique games and is has none of that in spades. I don't see a market for mobile games on your TV.

I've changed my mind on it recently to the point where I just can't justify getting one. The Tegra 3 has never been the best SoC for gaming. To my Ouya had the most promise as a set top box for watching streaming video. However, I hear it doesn't do the best job of it. The Ouya will not be the forth console. It'll end up being a niche product at best.
