has anyone ordered tickets from AMC lately?

yeah. you order them and theres this box thingy that you put your credit card in (the same one you used to purchase the tix). Then your tickets pop out. Magic I say.

not teh funnay! BTW, same process applies to Regal cinemas (when ordered on Fandango)...just thought I'd let the newbies know...

AMC is the devil. All four I've been to in the LA area are:
- Crowded
- Smellier than the monkey cage at the zoo
- Louder than the monkey cage at the zoo when you toss the monkeys tabasco-laced bananas, because for some reason AMC attracts families with too many feral children
- Overpriced for the crap "movie experience" it offers
- Screens are poorly maintained
- Sound is sub-par, even if labeled "DTS" or "THX"
- Seats suck. Even their stadium seating isn't really that.
- Filthy

But to give it credit, it's not nearly as bad as the Lowes theater. That place is a craphole.

Are they old theatres? The ones near me (in SF) are new. They're real nice. Seats that people can't block you, you'll have lots of foot room and the speakers are pretty nice. There's an AMC and a Lowes within a mile of each other.

Eh, the AMC theater where I live is pretty nice. LOL at "feral children" though. 😛

The AMC I usually go to (well, not very often at that) is pretty nice. They've got the stadium seating so people in front of you don't block the view. Not to mention, the armrests can be raised. Nice for snuggling with the wife. 😀
