Has anyone on here been selected for Amazon's "Customers Vote"?

I was selected for tomorrows vote which is the 46" Samsung 1080p LCD for $699 and I'm planning on giving it a try.

They mention though to "log-in early on race day" but I'm wondering how early is necessary.

Does it lessen my chances if I don't log in earlier than everyone else even if it's before the sale starts?

The LCD will be available at 9:30AM EST (6:30AM PST) and I was thinking of logging in around 7:30 or 8:00AM but have no clue if there is any point is doing this or if this isn't early enough.

The idea might be that, since the servers might get hammered once the sale starts, having to log in while the servers are bogged down is just one more step you need to take while you're competing with everyone else to get the item before it goes OOS.

(wow...that sentence was much longer than I intended...)

I haven't gotten picked for any of the Customer Vote deals so far 🙁. Not that I really wanted those Sam Fisher / Splinter Cell style nightvision goggles.

Ah, well that makes sense.

That does make me wonder how many people they "select" for the deal though.

They show that there will only be 250 of these LCD's at this price.

I wonder if they selected thousands or hundreds or multiple of thousands even...

No catch, you just have to sign up and cast your vote on what you want from a predefined choice of products at a crazy low price.

They are doing 6 days of deals and every day has different items.

Blackfriday was a PS3 80GB with 2 games and 2 blu-ray movies and a movie remote for $199.

That was the one I was really hoping to get but wasn't selected 🙁

Holy shit I'm still in shock.

I called up my wife to tell her and she was all excited also.

Now I need to focus on selling my old RP CRT HDTV to help offset the cost of this.
 
Grats! I got selected for the stupid toy nightvision goggles thing. But I have no use for em. 🙁 Only thing left that I would want would be the kitchenaid mixer.

Funny thing is I was really wanting the PS3 the most and really didn't plan on spending $699 right now.

But if I can sell my old HDTV for a few hundred it should help offset it a bit...
