If I let my Action pak subscription expire can I still use the software I already recieved?
I can't find this info on the MS site.
I am worried that if I let the subscription lapse MS may no longer let me re-install and activate the software, or not get optional Windows updates?
Any info would be appreciated.

In the Terms of agreement somewhere, it does say that if you no longer subscribe to the Action Pack, you must uninstall all software that came with the subscription.

Per the EULA (at least as it was written when I was an Action Pack subscriber), not only are you supposed to uninstall all software provided to you as a part of the subscription, but you are supposed to destroy/dispose of the media as well.

The above posters are correct about your agreement with Microsoft. You agreed to uninstall the software and destroy the media.

MS now has the technical ability (via WGA) to enforce the licensing part of the EULA. MS hasn't done so yet (as far as I know), but they could...

Yep, you have to uninstall it and destroy the media. I just got an email a couple days ago, part of it says,

"Remember: If you do not renew your subscription, you are required to remove the Action Pack software from all systems and destroy the media as stated in your Action Pack end user license agreement."
