Has anyone here try Ecstasy?

Good grief. Ever sit next to a second-hand smoker? It may not hurt your brain, but it'll hurt your lungs... and you'll die sooner breathing in chemicals from a cancer stick than you will popping mostly MDMA pills, anyway.

I worked in a hospital ER for 3 years...I can't count the number of deaths and mind-fries associated with ecstasy. We had the chance to read HUGE volumes of research on it and it is probably in the top 3 all time most dangerous drugs out there, no question about it. For those of you so totally full of yourselves that you just snort and proclaim me full of crap I challenge you to hold a 14yr old girls hand as she goes into seizure and dies, and then go out and be with the family as they're told that their lives are shattered from a 'harmless' bit of fun. I don't believe anyone should be allowed to enter high school without spending a couple nights in a local hospital being in the room with people as they die, and are brought in from drunk driving wrecks with their intestines on their laps, or they're eyes in a glass of water, or other similar situations. No one who hasn't done exhaustive scientific research and had personal experiences with the tragedies of drugs should be allowed to open their mouths about them.

i've been dropping for some time now and the rave scene has been getting pretty old...

i think i'm gonna start going to raves drunk.

btw, if you wanna heighten your x experience, try taking some K along with it....
make sure you also bring along an electric massager and some vicks vapor rub

know your source, know the purity of the substance, know your limit.
and remember, different drugs do different things to different people.

be careful.

That wasn't the argument at hand here tho...Smokes kill ya as well. Just as E's do!!

I don't think its wise to tell people on a 'G' rated board to how to take E's and what to take with them. Children visit this forum, a little bit of thought wouldn't go astray!

G-rated? Hardly from all the babe stuff lately 🙂

E and K is a favorite of my girlfriend Kitty.

That girl's crazy, though.

She likes hippyflipping (shrooms+E), candyflipping (acid+E), gardening (grass+shrooms), etc.

She just graduated, makes $85k/year starting, and Morgan Stanley even hooked her up with a nice pad in NYC.

And yes... the use of illicit substances can be extremely fatal to your health and well being. You never know what you're gonna get, so proceed with caution.

Whoever came up with the idea to use cat tranquilizer as a means of getting high is a very, very strange individual...

Ummm...and you are telling people that your friends do drugs responsibly? I've known people who can't talk anymore because of shrooms.... No offense, but your friends are bloody stupid!!!!

Stupid is a relative word. How do you want to define it?

GPA in school? 3.5-4.0, Ivy League.

Job? Investment bankers, research scientists, law school students, med school students (ironic, eh?), etc. $50,000-100,000/year. At the age of 22-25.

Religion? Lots are Christian, some are Jewish.

Personable? Very friendly, outgoing, fun, and sweet (even off the drugs 🙂 ).

They just have a different take on life, and choose to partake in different "recreational activities." Most have been partying like that for 1-6 years. They're doing just fine... happy, healthy citizens. Way above average, in most cases. They've never cheated, lied, stolen, etc. Good people.

In my opinion, what people do on their own time is their business. If their decisions don't hurt you, you don't have any right to dictate what's "right" or "wrong" for them.

We're all entitled to our own opinions. You can laugh and scream "I told you so!" if one of them OD's someday. Of course, if you'd get any pleasure out of doing that... who's the worse person?

Care to enable PM's happykitten, to discuss this in private?

Princeofwands: Were those deaths ever reported as E overdose and such? I doubt that. Most deaths are caused by the use of other drugs with E or overheating.

It's not that we'd gain pleasure from their deaths, but there's no intelligence in waiting for it to happen before learning from it. It's happened to others. Of course people have a right to do whatever they choose, as long as they don't threaten others with their actions. But if they die from their choices I will have NO remorse whatsoever for them. I won't be happy at their deaths, but neither will I feel badly.

My largest problems are people who make uninformed choices (the 'I read a years worth of High Times, I know everything there is to know about drugs' bs), people who get mad at people who don't want friendships/relationships with drug users (he's so stupid, he won't date me just because I do 38 drugs a day everyday...he doesn't know anything, he's a bigot, he's a victim of scare tactics...) when in reality it's a smart choice to not waste time and emotion on someone that dedicated to killing themselves and hurting everyone who cares about them, and especially people who endanger others: These guys REALLY piss me off. They're the ones that drop the drug of the week, drink heavily, stay up all night, and then try to drive home or to the store and threaten the life of my child by their being on the road. Absolutely no kidding here folks, if anyone ever caused an accident I was involved in while they were on a drug or alcohol, I would absolute kill them. Period. No trial, no rehab. I support their right to do the drugs, but I also support my right to defend my daughters life, so even if no one was hurt, and I'd go to prison for life, I'd absolutely kill the bastard.

You got it, tantos. I hate to say it, but it's usually the dumb drug users who die. Bottom line... know what you're getting yourself into before you do it. Precautions, things to keep in mind while doing it (i.e. with e, keep yourself hydrated), things to watch out for, etc.

PM's are off because I'm sick of harassing messages. Who needs the headache? If you have anything to say to me, say it here. I'm game.

My sentiments exactly.

And, btw... my friends NEVER drive after drinking or doing any drugs. All drug use is limited to clubs (with a designated driver... that would be me 🙂 ) or the privacy of their own homes.

Tantos: don't be dense. 8-0) If you do a drug that removes your ability to conciously monitor your heat level, and then you die from 'overheating'...

THEN YOU DIED FROM THE DRUG YOU FREAKING IDIOT!!!

If A caused B to kill you, then A is the cause, not B. DUH!!!

And yes, many of those deaths were listed as 'most likely caused by effects of Ecstasy'. Oh, the exact cause of death is cardiac arrest, asphixiation, traumatic injury or something...but they would NOT have happened if they hadn't done the stupid drug in the first place.

People, I'm not saying you can't do the drugs, but open your eyes. Say to yourself every single time you take a drink or a puff or a pill "There is a chance that this will lead to my death, or the deaths of others." Then swallow. That's all. Just accept responsibility for your actions and don't expect tears at your wake if you were stupid enough to actually swallow after that sentence. Don't make assumptions off of TV or movies, or friends, or anything other than cold hard experience...watch someone die before you suggest they endanger their lives.

PcResources: Ecstasy in it's basic form is not chemically addictive, however it is possible to become addicted to the chemically altered state Ecstasy places your body in...specifically, you become reliant on the large release of endorphines caused by the drug, and your body loses the ability to create those endorphines without increasing doses of the drug.

Couldn't agree more. No matter what anyone thinks, all of those drugs are poisonous because they've a strong influence on the synapses in the CNS (Central Nervous System).

All of those mood changes and feelings felt after taking such drugs are due to changes in the chemistry of the brain. By blocking receptors in the brain, the 'communication' between brainparts is influenced or even made impossible.
Certain snake venoms work also like those drugs: they block nicotinic receptors so that the victim is paralyzed.
Many insectides block receptors as well, thereby making functioning of the CNS of insects (in small doses) or even Humans (in large doses) impossible.

If you take too much of those drugs, or take a combination of drugs of which each one blocks just one kind of receptor, you'll die.

BTW, rat poison can make you high too. Just don't take too much of it at once.

POW ~ now you're getting all technical... let's not do that, shall we?

No, you really died from overheating.

If you go drinking and driving, and you get in a car crash and die... then you DIED FROM THE CAR CRASH YOU FREAKING IDIOT, not the drinking.

The drinking caused the car accident... so yes, it was the CAUSE. But that's not why you died. You died because you were dumb enough to go driving afterwards, or because you didn't have good friends to watch out for you and keep you from making bad decisions while inebriated.

I don't mind filling up my friends' water bottles. 🙂

You never know what they put in there!
You shouldn't TRUST that SH!T!
It could be ZEBRA cum.
you may not like that idea but YOU DON'T KNOW.

<< Did you at least research the drug before doing it? I hope you know you probably have small holes in your brain now. >>

Actually, this is not scare tactics, anyone who knows the primary function of E would agree with that, as it is an excellent fat burner, but not exclusive it is a dangerous drug...

What am i on about... Well, you see, as E is not an exclusive fat burner, it will actually destroy fatty acids that it comes in contact with, now, do you see where i am heading, the brain is a large piece of fatty tissue, so it will make you ignorant, if you do not get it, lay off the E or pot...

Patrick

Ok then 🙂

I just find it hard to believe that it is responsible to put whatever substances in your body that you KNOW have the potential ability to kill you or at least hamper your brain's ability to operate. The side affects of many drugs are well documented, especially the long term affects. I've had a number of friends who are no longer who they used to be, simply because of over use of drugs.

From what I gather, these friends of yours are very intellectually gifted. So why do something that has the potential to screw up your life? Sure, you can say, 'Be careful where you get your drugs from, do this, do that" but in the long run, you are still very much putting yourself at risk! I'm not judging your friends or their judgement on the issue, or you for defending their choices, I just can't understand why you would defend it?

POW ~ you're right about the addiction... you can't become addicted to the drug, but you can become addicted to the drug's effects. I like kissing my boyfriend. I can't become addicted to him, but I can become addicted to the blissfully happy state I'm in while I'm kissing him. So I'm going to kiss him a lot more in the future. I love my boyfriend... he's my favorite "drug." 😉
