I got this WinXPnews email talking about spamming, is it possible to get money from these folks? I have found that replying to these spam mailings to have my name removed has worked pretty good. Went from getting about 40 a day to less than 10.

Here's the link in the email.

didn't AOL win a case against spammers just a few weeks ago? I remember the spammers were ordered to pay AOL in the millions. But, who knows if they'll ever pay or if this will even deter spammers. I'm sure you can find something if you search yahoo news or any news source.

Anyway, I figure the only way spam will ever stop, is if email stops being free. but there's NO way that'll ever happen...

That may help deter US-based spammers, but does nothing for overseas spammers, notably China.

My internet provider sued a local spam company, and a moronic judge turned them down. They took it to higher court, and thanks to that the spam company has gone bankrupt :D (The lawsuit is still running, but they got a lot of bad publicity, and the lawsuit is costing them too much)
