My wife got a ticket so I was wondering on the experiences (if any) people here have had.

Thanks

how the hell can you take it online???? I thought a prerequsit for traffic school is to be bored out of your skull for 8 hours

Yup....I used this site back in February or so. It's pretty straightforward...look at some lessons, watch some videos, answer the questions you could probably already answer in your sleep, etc.

I just finished in early November. It was a pretty nice course. My only complaint was the quality of the audio with some videos towards the start. If all you do is pretty much watch the videos and scan the material you are good to go.

It's the easiest thing I've ever done. An example:
When approaching a toll booth, you should:
a) slow down
b) speed up
c) gun her up to 80
d) hold your money out the window as you drive by
e) throw your money at the attendant as you drive by

No joke, that was one of the questions.

I used TrafficSchool.com to get my permit and it was great. At your own pace and everything and they do both permits, traffic school lessons, as well as some other things I think.

Used it before for a speeding ticket, waaaay easier than spending a weekend in school. Do it. The school I took it through guaranteed passing so you could just retake the same test over and over again until you passed.

Sure I read through all of the material 😉

but did you still have to pay for the fine? or was the whole ticket dismissed when the online course is taken?

i took it a couple years ago, so i dont' remember exactly which one.. but it was way easy.. you would "read" a section.. take a practice test where they tell you what's wrong and what's right, so you can find all the right answers.. then at the end, you take a test a lot like the permit test at the dmv.. then that's it.. easy as sh!t

For mine anyway, I still had to pay the court costs (like $70 or $90 or something).

I've gone here twice: www.gototrafficschool.com/ The experience has been great. Take it anytime you want it. I usually do one session a day. Really easy too.

No, I wasn't the one who got the tickets - I took it for somebody else for a little $. I still drive insane tho.

oh the ticket wasn't dismissed. I was guilty as sin and decided not to fight it. If you want to try to fight it I know there's a website someone can link you to that leads you step by step on how to contest your ticket.

I'm not sure what the deal is, but I think you can do this with a speeding ticket once every few months. As long as you take the classes and pay the fees the ticket won't show up with your insurance company and you'll recieve no points on your license.

I had to pay the ticket, court time (bs since I never went to court), filing fees, anything else they could stick me with. But the price for the actual classes were about the same as if I would have taken it at one of their centers. So I ended up paying the same amount, but I could take it anytime I wanted to and from the comfort of my own home.

I have and it's a piece of cake. It took me 30 minutes to do the whole thing. I had the test open in one window and the chapter in another, and I just searched for the answer.

got a ticket for running a yellow light. My car's back bumper barely got caught in the red light and some police happened to see it . Hit me with 200 bucks and have to take an online class.
