Has anyone here ever considered European Delivery?

This is something that has always intrigued me, and I think that's my immediate short goal. I know different manufacturer offers different packages, and all of them seems to be a blast.

Have any of you guys considered this option? Or, have anyone here done it? Share your experience and/or opinions please.

I've considered it, yes. Not entirely seriously, but I'd like to do a European vacation in a couple years, so the two could work out together.

I did a bit of research on Volvo's offering, I wouldn't say I seriously considered it but the package at the time was pretty nice.

I have considered European Delivery seriously before. But with the way the economy is going, I have near completely dropped getting a nice European car from my near future agenda until the economy really comes back if at all.

My brother almost did that a couple times. The Rennlist probably would be a good place to get info.

that would be so cool to do. i will consider it when i buy my next car. dont know how realistic that would be for me at that point though.

I picked up my 07'335i in Munich. Spent 2 weeks in Austria, Germany and Italy driving around - the best vacation I everhad in Europe and I lived there for 16 years. Also saved $7K and received a free plane ticket through Lufthansa so the trip was preety much free. It took me about 6 months of planning and I already planed a second trip since I couldn't fit it all in two weeks.
Now that economy is in the toilet I may actualy have to give up the bimmer for a subaru, but thats another story....
If you are planning on getting a BMW, head over to bimmerfest forum. All the information is there including the discounted prices. Basicaly german invoice + $1K profit to the dealer for filling out the form and no discounts on M cars.

there's a cool road in austria, the grosseglocknerstrasse and the romantikstrasse in bavaria towards the ludwig castles. a lot of wine roads in france on the way to Bordeaux. I once drove strasbourg to stuttgart in 50 minutes🙂 (another time it took 3 hours 🙁 ) obviously the ring near frankfurt is sweet. the dolemites/sella ronda have some pretty cool roads in italy/southern switzerland, too. i wish munich / stuttgart were closer to amalfi, which is the ultimate in european scenic driving. In other words, I would do it.

I just got my 335i in February and I'm kicking myself for not doing European delivery. I didn't know about it until after I ordered my car and joined a BMW forum. I could have saved myself thousands and used it on a nice trip to Germany where I have a few friends. I would love to have blasted my car on the autobahn.

Since my car is new, I don't think I'll be getting another car for 10 more years.

volvo pays for you to fly to europe, a night in a hotel in gothenburg, and flight home, iirc. but you can extend your stay in sweden and even travel to other countries still fly home on their dime.

plus the car is cheaper. which is odd, because the US versions are already cheaper than the euro ones.

you don't get to drive the car around, though. besides an initial test drive i think it goes straight on the boat.
