The only real significant difference these things make on an otherwise stock car is that they increase the pressure that the wastegate opens at on turbocharged cars. If your car's not turbocharged, they don't do much of anything at all.

I did the Dinan Stage 1 software for my BMW. Didn't notice a lot of gain but it didn't give better throttle repsonse and the speed limiter was removed (not that I am going to drive over 150MPH). It's worth the retail price $499 I have to say no. It's worth half price $250 which was what I paid and I have to say yes. It enhanced the driver experience.
