Has anyone heard of a laptop printer that plugs into a cigarette lighter directly?

Looking for a lead on a laptop printer that will plug directly into
a cigarette lighter instead of having to use an inverter.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Jim

That would be a printer that runs only on 12 VDC - never heard of one. Most printers have motors that require A/C, and in a D/C environment, an inverter would be required. Have you googled for a DC Printer?

Googled and ebayed and nothing......I think it's a lost cause....I told the fellow I had
never heard of a DC laptop printer but there's a lot of stuff out there that I've never
heard about. 🙂

OK - consider a bettery powered printer. They do exist, and that could be run with a converter as opposed to an inverter.

True.......but not what the guy wanted.......I know wanting and getting is 2 different things. 🙂

Follow the logic. A battery powered printer has a battery charger/adapter - much like a laptop. That may be able to be run/recharged via a ciragette lighter plug-converter.
Sometimes an indirect approach will achieve the same desired results.

just buy an inverter, probably about $10 us and plug it into your lighter, then the printer into the inverter.

PentaxTech's portable printer can be powered by cigarette lighter directly. Just purchase their printer and buy the car adapter

If you own a Canon i70 or i80 printer: site - I don't know if it's legit (I can't find it at CanonUSA.com

If I were you, I'd just buy a converter like this from Radioshack, Catalog #22-144
